Oatgurt Plain
We call it “plain” despite the rich and creamy taste, and we could have called it “Oatgurt natural” as well. It’s just two different ways to let you know that this gurt has no added flavors. It’s just the humble taste of fermented oat base that works as a 1:1 swap for dairy yogurt. It’s that simple! Or plain, to bring it back full circle.
Naturally dairy-free
Since we make Oatgurt from oats (obviously), it is 100 % plant-based, just like all our products. So, for anyone who saw the word Lactic Acid in the ingredients list and wondered if it has anything to do with lactose, this sentence is here to say it does not. Lactic Acid is common in nature and even produced by your own body. We use it to make sure the slight sourness is just like you expect from something that ends with -gurt.
The good fat
Speaking of using plant-based ingredients, the fat in Oatgurt plain comes from rapeseed oil and the oats themselves which means primarily unsaturated fat. Replacing saturated fat with unsaturated helps maintain normal blood cholesterol levels. So, that should explain the headline if you were wondering. No soy and no dairy. Keep refrigerated at 8°C.
