It was a sunny morning, Oatly’s top coffee and oats expert, Toby, was having breakfast and thinking about the things he always thinks about – how to mix the perfect cup of coffee and oat drink – when the landline telephone let out an aggressive ring.
The landline? Toby thought to himself.
This must be important.
–Toby? A distant voice inquired when he picked up the receiver. We need you to come to the Nespresso Headquarters in Vevey, Switzerland, and forever change the way people experience capsule-based coffee and oat drink.
Nespresso was the company that had done the impossible and encapsulated the perfect cup of coffee. And they looked sophisticated while doing it! This was Toby’s chance, and he wasn’t going to let it slide.
–I’m on my Vevey! He exclaimed loudly. When no response came from the other end, he felt the urge to explain the joke. You know, like, ‘I’m on my way, but your headquarters is in…’
–Please come quickly, the voice interrupted dryly.

Toby said and jumped on the first train to Switzerland. 9 hours 54 minutes and 3 changes of trains later, he sauntered into the Nespresso office, ready to create the perfect coffee made for oat drink. And put it in a capsule!
–You’re late, the Nespresso executive said, tapping her fingers on a printed copy of the pdf-version of the Oatly Sustainability Report.

- This blend was created using quality Arabica beans from Nicaragua and El Salvador.
- Produced by first roasting the Nicaragua beans light and short, just enough to develop cereal and sweet notes, while the El Salvador part is roasted for a bit longer to develop some intensity.
